ACTIVITIES IN PUERTO MORELOS

The Gods gave the order and the sky covered the earth with light. The Cenote Route is located to the west of the jungle on the road of Puerto Morelos. The Cenotes are defined as depressions in the limestone soil in the Yucatan Peninsula, which gives the result of underground rivers of the region that at the same time form the caves and pools known as Cenotes. Visiting a Cenote is a wonderful and mysticism experience, due to its natural surroundings of lush vegetation and mysterious silence. Its fresh and crystalline waters invite you to swim and snorkel.

BOTANICAL GARDEN

With 65 hectares of natural vegetation and founded in 1982, the botanical garden is considered one of the largest in Mexico that maintains the conservation of the original plants of the place. Its sections are multiple and are divided according to the type of plants such as cactus, ornamental palms, medicinal plants, just to name a few. The place has also a gum plant, a reading hut, an archaeological zone, a natural park and hanging bridges. This place is also a haven for spider monkeys.

CROCOCUN ZOO

Very close to Puerto Morelos is the interactive crococun zoo, where you can touch, feel and feed all the animals. Visitors love the proximity to observe crocodiles, monkeys and reptiles. Crococun has created an environment where feeding, caressing, embracing and interacting with jungle animals and reptiles is allowed and encouraged.
