The inhabitants of Holbox move mainly on foot, in golf carts, motorcycles or bicycles, as they are very environmentally conscious and it is rare to see cars circulating on the island. Among the activities you can enjoy are watching and swimming with whale sharks, especially from mid-July to mid-August, as well as snorkeling, although the water is not as clear as in the Riviera Maya.
The local gastronomy is remarkable, especially the dishes based on fresh seafood such as lobster and octopus, typical products of the region. Holbox is an ideal destination for both relaxation and adventure, offering unique experiences in an impressive natural environment.
